Magnificent Botswana, Zambia and Zimbabwe

Duration: 12 Days
Highlights include:
  • Okavango Delta: One of Botswana’s most popular tourist destinations is the largest inland delta in the world. Home to a variety of wildlife, ranging from antelope to elephants, as well as leopard and wild dog. A bird watchers paradise.
  • Makgadikgadi Salt Pans: For much of the year, most of this desolate area remains waterless and extremely arid; and large mammals are thus absent. But during and following years of good rain, the two largest pans, Sowa and Ntwetwe, flood, attracting wildlife. Hundreds and sometimes Thousands of Flamingoes flock here after rains, ensuring an unbelievable spectacle. Star gazing in absolutely amazing starting on the horizon.
  • Chobe National Park: Situated in northern Botswana, the National Park has one of the largest concentrations of game in Africa. The vegetation varies from lush floodplains to the scorched Savuti marsh. This is classic big game country where herds of buffalo and elephant reach legendary proportions. These are matched by exceptionally large lion prides.
  • Livingstone: Only minutes away from the Victoria Falls, one of the Natural Wonders of the World, Livingstone is one of the most romantic destinations on the Africa continent. It is rich in culture and history, with a host of adventure and adrenaline experiences to choose from.
  • Victoria Falls: The Local people call it "Mosi-oa-Tunya" meaning the smoke that thunders. It is the largest uninterrupted sheet of falling water in the world; unspoilt Victoria Falls sits on the border of Zimbabwe and Zambia. Do not miss this life changing experience.
  • Hwange National Park: Is the largest Park in Zimbabwe occupying roughly 14 650 square kilometers. It is located in the northwest corner of the country about one hour south of the Mighty Victoria Falls. Hwange boasts a tremendous selection of wildlife with over 100 species of mammals and nearly 400 bird species recorded. The elephants of Hwange are world famous and the Park's elephant population is one of the largest in the world. The landscape includes desert sand to sparse woodland as well as grasslands and granite outcrops. Due to the lack of water, man-made waterholes were introduced to sustain the animals through the dry season.
  • Matobo Hills National Park: The Park includes an Intensive Protection Zone where large populations of Black and White Rhinos’ are successfully breeding. The park is situated in the magnificent Matobo Hills, a range of domes, spires and balancing rock formations which have been hewn out of the solid granite plateau through millions of years of erosion and weathering. The majestic and rugged terrain of the park is a hiker's paradise and the diversity of the vegetation supports a wide range of wildlife.

Highlights of Southern Africa

Duration: 10 Days
Highlights include:
  • Maun: The tourism capital of Botswana and the administrative centre of Ngamiland district lies on the southern fringes of the Okavango Delta. Although officially still a village, Maun has developed rapidly from a rural frontier town and has spread along the Thamalakane River, setting the scene and mood for what lies ahead.
  • Okavango Delta: One of Botswana’s most popular tourist destinations is the largest inland delta in the world. Home to a variety of wildlife, ranging from antelope to elephants, as well as leopard and wild dog. A bird watchers paradise.
  • Mahango Game Reserve: The contrasting vegetation of the Mahango Game Reserve is widely considered one of Namibia’ s most varied and fascinating conservation areas. Year round water ensures an abundance of game, however, during the dry winter months, April-November, your chances of seeing game is higher as the animals seek out the river and waterholes.
  • Popa Falls: Near the little town of Divundu, some 200 kilometres east of Rundu, lies one of the highlights of the western Caprivi, the Popa Falls. They are actually rapids rather than waterfalls. The Popa Falls are surrounded by enchantingly beautiful nature.
  • Chobe National Park: Situated in northern Botswana, the National Park has one of the largest concentrations of game in Africa. The vegetation varies from lush floodplains to the scorched Savuti marsh. This is classic big game country where herds of buffalo and elephant reach legendary proportions.
