SATIB24 Crisis Call is a 24 hour emergency call service that manages guest related accidents and incidents.
Typical examples of emergency incidents are:
  • the sudden onset of potentially serious illness
  • an accident resulting in serious injury
  • an assault, rape, kidnap or other crime that threatens life or well being
  • exposure to blood, poisons or other hazardous materials
  • a fire or other natural disaster
The emergency call will be answered by a trained wilderness medical doctor who will access the situation and activate the appropriate action to be taken.

not charged

that the bearer holds *certificate/s of insurance issued by Safari & Tourism Insurance Brokers (SATIB) and certain Lloyd's of London Underwriters , which comply with the European Community Directive (90/314/EEC) and carry the following cover levels:

Chief Mukuni's Village
These daily tours are of Mukuni Village, home to the Leya people. Clients have the opportunity to learn more about this interesting culture whilst being shown around the village homes and Chief Mukuni's Palace, as well as having the opportunity to try out their traditional food & beer. This is a real village with a population of 5000.
  
Livingstone Island Walks
All visits will start from within the park at the Eastern Cataract by the weir and run to Livingstone island and back. - Walks will last approximately 2 hours - In low waters there will be the opportunity to swim in the Livingstone Island pool on the edge of the Falls. Drinks will be offered on arrival at the island - qualified guides will be accompanying the guests - maximum number per group is 10 pax - reservations to be made through Tongabezi - relative fitness and balance is required - Recommended footwear are rafters or trainers, no flip flops or hard soled shoes
  
Livingstone Museum
The Livingstone Museum is one of a kind in this area. It contains the most comprehensive memorabilia of Dr. David Livingstone, including authentic maps and diaries, and covers the history of the region from the formation right up to the present day. The Museum also contains Anthropological, Natural History and African Culture sections
  
Lunar Rainbow
The lunar rainbow is an amazing spectacle for guests who are in Victoria Falls or Livingstone during the full moon. For those guests interested in witnessing the lunar rainbow over the Victoria Falls please contact us for the full moon dates. We can take guests to the Victoria Falls one day prior, on and one day after the Full moon. Best viewing dates are just after the rains from around April through to August / September depending on cloud levels. Make sure you book your trip during the full moon period to experience this unique phenomenon!
  
Maramba Market
These vibrant markets allow clients the opportunity to test their bargaining skills. Maramba is the largest market and it is here that the locals sell everything from "chitengiesï" to pots & pans made from old motorcars. A guide will accompany the clients and assist in explaining some of the more unusual items and/or bargaining techniques. It also provides the opportunity to meet the local people and take some interesting photos. The market was not set up for just tourists - this is where the people of Livingstone come to shop!
  
Zambian Tour of the Falls
Clients are transferred from their hotel in to the entrance of the Zambian Rainforest. From here, they will meet up with a Zambian Guide who will escort them around the Falls sharing some facts & history along the way. Clients are also given the opportunity to do some curio shopping in the adjacent open-air markets.
