SATIB24 Crisis Call is a 24 hour emergency call service that manages guest related accidents and incidents.
Typical examples of emergency incidents are:
  • the sudden onset of potentially serious illness
  • an accident resulting in serious injury
  • an assault, rape, kidnap or other crime that threatens life or well being
  • exposure to blood, poisons or other hazardous materials
  • a fire or other natural disaster
The emergency call will be answered by a trained wilderness medical doctor who will access the situation and activate the appropriate action to be taken.
Note that this is a value-added service for which guests are
not charged

that the bearer holds *certificate/s of insurance issued by Safari & Tourism Insurance Brokers (SATIB) and certain Lloyd's of London Underwriters , which comply with the European Community Directive (90/314/EEC) and carry the following cover levels:

Public Liability - ZAR5 million / incident / occurance AND Professional Indemnity - ZAR1 million / incident / occurance

The concession has 14 kilometers of private Zambezi river frontage and borders the Chobe Forest Reserve which is renowned for its massive Elephant population - herds of up to 1500 elephants have been seen on the floodplains below the Imbabala Safari Camp!

Imbabala Safari Camp accommodates only 18 guests in stone and thatch chalets with private en-suite facilities.The chalets are individually decorated and beautifully positioned with sweeping views on the Zambezi River.The lodge boasts one family room, two double and five twin bedded chalets.

 

Activities center around tracking game on morning, afternoon and night game drives by open 4x4 safari vehicle on the Imbabala Private Concession Area. Exploring the Zambezi River by boat, affords guests exceptional bird-watching opportunities, as birdlife is prolific and varied, ranging from water birds to shy forest dwellers. Walking Safaris are available by prior arrangement. Also on offer at Imbabala Safari Camp is fishing for the renowned Tiger Fish (serious fisherman are advised to bring along their own Tackle). For guests spending a longer time with us at Imbabala, we offer day trips to Victoria Falls and the Chobe National Park (additional charge applicable).
