SATIB24 Crisis Call is a 24 hour emergency call service that manages guest related accidents and incidents.
Typical examples of emergency incidents are:
  • the sudden onset of potentially serious illness
  • an accident resulting in serious injury
  • an assault, rape, kidnap or other crime that threatens life or well being
  • exposure to blood, poisons or other hazardous materials
  • a fire or other natural disaster
The emergency call will be answered by a trained wilderness medical doctor who will access the situation and activate the appropriate action to be taken.
Note that this is a value-added service for which guests are
not charged 		This seal of approval certifies
that the bearer holds *certificate/s of insurance issued by Safari & Tourism Insurance Brokers (SATIB) and certain Lloyd's of London Underwriters , which comply with the European Community Directive (90/314/EEC) and carry the following cover levels:

Public Liability - ZAR5 million / incident / occurance AND Professional Indemnity - ZAR1 million / incident / occurance

Camp Kwando is situated in the Caprivi on the Kwando River. 12 Thatched  roof island tents, 3 houses and campsites. Boat trips, Game Drives, fishing and eco Mokoro Trips

ACCOMMODATION

Camp Kwando offers 3 different kinds of accommodation. There are 12 thatched roof Island Tents each with two beds. Beds have mosquito nets. Tents are built on poles with a terrace overlooking the river. En suite open-sky bathroom with shower, toilet and basin (hot & cold water).

The Tree Houses are larger thatched roof bungalows built on stiltz. Very spacious room with big en suite bathroom (bath, shower, toilet and basin). Expanding terrace.

The camp site is situated between the main building and the island. Ten camping spots on well maintained lawn. Showers, Toilets, basins as well as area for laundry.

ACTIVITIES

Camp Kwando offers a variety of activities including Boat trips on the Kwando River, visits to the Traditional Village nearby, Game Drives, seeing the Village Schools, Trips to Mamili and Fishing on the KwandoRiver.
