Luxury chalets are semi detached with attention paid to privacy. They are under thatch and feature exterior stone work using raw material from the area.
They all have fans as well as a feature 'coal' stove.
The large en suite bathrooms feature corner baths with outdoor showers.
All Chalets have tea and coffee making facilities, a mini bar and the best quality percale linen is used throughout.
Restaurant
Built from natural materials found on the reserve such as rocks, river pebbles, reeds, wood and thatch to blend with the surrounding environment, this spacious, high ceiling, African character building with large fireplaces is the perfect setting for the superb buffet meals served. Meals are prepared by an internationally acclaimed chef and traditional meals are offered as well as the standard fare, Catering for special dietary requirements is provided. The restaurant can seat 180 diners in comfort.
Aquila has two public lounges; one situated at the Restaurant the other adjoining the Cigar Bar. Both have comfortable fully upholstered furniture and superb views .The Restaurant Lounge has a large feature fireplace and the Cigar Bar lounge has DSTV
This saltwater pool, with rock finishes is made good use of in the summer months
Morning and evening game drives with qualified field rangers in open 4x4 vehicles. Game drives range between two and three hours with sparkling wine, grape juice, water and snacks such as biltong, 'droewors', nuts and dried fruits served at various lookout points. Blankets and raincoats are made available to guests on the 4x4 vehicles. Wooden stepladders are also used to assist guests from getting on and off the vehicles |

At Bukela children are allowed to do all activities with there Parents. We have a Game Ranger and game vehicle that looks after Parents with Children. Parents and children can have meals together. There are two dining rooms that enable us to split groups. You as Parents have the choice

A qualified ranger accompanies children and parents on a game drive to explore the bush in an Game vehicle. Each child receives a "bush activity pack" with fun tasks to complete. Children will experience the bush using all their senses; touching, tasting, seeing, smelling and hearing and experiencing the different elements of the bush. The Mini Safari also comprise of the following:
Archaeology and Paleontology Excursion:
The Eastern Cape is also rich in Archaeological and Paleontological history. During the last century the first Stegosaur skeleton was documented in South Africa. Children will be encouraged to 'discover Dinosaurs' with an accompanying ranger.

Flintstone site Excursion
The Krantz formations along the Bushman's River in the reserve represent a cross section of time extending back 800 million years and there are various interesting fossils, which lie exposed on and around the reserve. Children are taken to the Flintstone site and the ranger and children will search for Flintstones.
All suites are air conditioned while bar fridges and automatic kettles are an added convenience. |

Bush Lodge is set in the heart of the Sabi Sabi bushveld overlooking a water-hole and an African plain. Each air-conditioned thatched suite features exquisite ethnic décor in keeping with the bushveld environment. The lodge features artistically designed open courtyards with spectacular wooden carvings by renowned South African sculptors, created from wood salvaged from the bushveld. |
